We were there early enough for rope drop, so first thing we did as soon as that rope dropped was head to my favourite ride, the Matterhorn. As there wasn't a queue at that time, we rode three times in a row! It's still just as awesome as ever.
Following the Matterhorn we headed to the teacups for a ride.
Walking through the big thunder area is really quiet at the moment as the big thunder railroad is being renovated, but we did get to meet some awesome goats!
We did a lot of rides today that we hadn't done on previous trips, such as Pinocchio and Captain EO. We also got to ride the haunted mansion with the holiday overlay which was alright, but has nothing on the usual haunted mansion.
We took a break in the afternoon with some YUM mint juleps and live music.

As it's much quieter at disneyland at the moment compared to when we normally go, we managed to ride on so many rides without waiting in a queue, including Indiana Jones, Star Tours and loads more.
At about 3, we were tired from walking around all day (plus a bit jet lagged I think!) so we took the train back to Main Street, which goes through a dinosaur and Grand Canyon thing.
We headed back to the hotel and enjoyed a long swim (the temperature has been mid 30s all day!) then an early dinner. Aaron is now fast asleep at 630pm haha.
Tomorrow we move to a different hotel then we will be going shopping! Will post again tomorrow evening.
